Inventing Own Maths Games

In Maths this week, we have been focusing on one aspect of Statistics in which the children learn to identify and discuss fairness of games, compare and order the likelihood of simple events, make predictions of possible outcomes (more likely to most likley). For reflection: the students worked in pairs to invent their own games using either coins or dice then share the games with others in the class and this has taken two days to plan, design and play. I can say that the children really enjoyed this part of the unit. Some have extended the challenge to explore other game ideas besides coins and dice

Great to see Carmelita and Jesse working so well together discussing their game - Awesome job!

Helena and Jane way with the discussion!
